On Saturday, October 10 the International School of Amsterdam (I.S.A.) opened it doors to “TASTE” - a wonderful dining and drinking experience hosted by SHARE (part of the I.S.A. Parent group). Participants were greeted with prosecco as they entered. From there they enjoyed delicious samples and were able to delve into conversation directly with the chefs about their creations and their restaurants. There was great range of restaurants – everything from fine French food at Michelin star restaurants to local daily fresh food paired with great wine at Amstelveen’s first wine bar. If the succulent samples weren’t enough – Their wine specialist, Varga’s Fijne Wijn put together a spectacular selection of wines for everyone to sample. The best part for us was that while all this was happening we had the opportunity to showcase Room to Read: Road to 40.

Recently the lower school students at the International School of Amsterdam participated in a read-a-thon to raise money to help build schools for Room to Read through Road to 40. Many thanks to the children for their dedication in reading for a cause and to all of the sponsors that helped make this event a huge success!
If you are interested in sponsoring a read-a-thon at your local school or library we are happy to help. Simply contact us at info@roadto40.org and we will help you get started!
